Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Such a sad turn.
Let me start by saying that this band is amazing and very talented. The Fall of Ideals is quite possibly one of my favorite albums of all time. I bought this album (Overcome) the day it came out and couldn't tear it open and get it in my CD player fast enough. Next thing I know I am wondering if I accidentally got the wrong CD. This is complete garbage compared to their last CD. It doesn't even sound like the same band. Phil's vocals are nowhere near what they used to be and the riffs and solos just didn't have that goosebump inducing quality they used to. I am not sure what happened to this band but I really hope they return to making good music because I would love to hear more or their talent when it is used correctly.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - pretty good cd...
Two Weeks is a Great song, but still a good enough cd to just listen to the whole way through.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - hard core metal album
i gotta say this is different than the other metal bands out there but thats a good thing in this case. sweet riffs and awesome solos with screaming and clean vocals. and you can understand what they are saying. they sound great and worth the all the money.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - this album is terrible
Was a fan untill I heard this weak crap. Trying to be mainstream and popular while doing away with the extreme edge they had on this darkened heart and the fall od ideals. Epic failure.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - What's the Deal?
Well I listened to this collection of tracks for several weeks now and I must I like them very much. The compositions are strong, the musicianship is excellent throughout, and the sequencing of the tracks is thoughtful. Oli Herbert the guitarist and chief songwriter is an amazing guitarist with superb technique and a real feel for when to drop jaws and when to pull back. Consequently the music comes first. If you like melodic metal you'll dig this collection of tunes, the other reviews that I've seen here seem to revel in the fact that this band has somehow abandoned their roots, don't buy it. Buy the cd, you wont regret it...
