Autumn 1996
The Crypt is established under its first name – The Cryptosy. Founding members are Lord W. Mortarius (guitars and vocals), Drum Major (drums) and b.w. Sargon (bass guitar and additional vocals).
January to August 1997
The Crypt practices songs to be recorded on its first demo-record.
September 1997
The Crypt records its first demo record Fuck the Christ.
April 1998
Fuck the Christ is being finished with adding the vocal parts. Final record contains 11 songs in running time 30 minutes. The band decides not to spread it for wide audience because of quality of the record.
Spring 1999
The band changes practice-rooms and fires previously incorporated second guitarist, Kain.
Rest of 1999
The Crypt tries to practice new songs for upcoming demo record.
August to September 2000
New member joins the band. Old friend Bestial occupies the position of singer. The Crypt still rotates between practice-rooms.
September 2000 to April 2001
The Crypt continues work on new songs. Some of them have been practiced among b.w. Sargon, Lord W. Mortarius and Bestial before. Drum major has to add drums’ parts.
April 2001
Drum major is forced to join Slovak army. The rest of the band continues working on new songs and moves to another practice-room. It is the return to the place where The Crypt was born and this is very stimulating part in the existence of the band.
December 2001
Drum major comes back from his service. The Crypt prepares songs for recording.
February 2002
The postponed recording session begins and ends. New record Opus divine is because of its evil, raw sound accepted under many reservations. But gains many fans as well. The Crypt begins its live performance during the following months, which are accepted by UG much better than Opus divine.
October to November 2002
The Crypt enters a recording studio and begins to record a new master-piece. This ultra high-speed, killing stuff is labeled Heartless merciless blasphemous… Martyr slain.
First half of 2003
The band performs some live actions. Because of no publisher was interested in last recording, the band releases Heartless merciless... as self-release recording. Despite it is very short, only 18 minutes of music, reactions upon it are highly positive.
Autumn 2003
Legion666 joins the band for position of second guitarist. The Crypt is still looking for a publisher…
Spring, summer and autumn of 2004
The Crypt continues practicing new songs. Recording is postponed firstly from end of May to end of September. Because of technical problems, recording is postponed again to January of the next year. The band continues performing live shows.
September 2004
Legion666, after the mutual agreement, unfortunately leaves the band.
Winter 2004
The Crypt changes its name definitely and most importantly, finds a new management represented by Mythos and Slavonic Art Productions. New logo of the band is inaugurated.
January to February 2005
In the beginning of the tenth year of existence the band starts recording new, the fourth stuff called Weapons recollected.
Winter 2005
Weapons recollected CD was released on 22nd of December 2005 under the wings of Slavonic art records, the division of Slavonic art productions.
Spring 2006
Due to personal reason, Sargon decides to take a break. Supposed to be short, lasts for more than 5 months. The Crypt continues concerting without the bass guitar player.
August 2006
The Crypt performs its last show in the original line-up. Bestial, Drum Major, Sargon and Wigo Mortarius perform at the More Than Hate Festival together with such great bands as Marduk or Behemoth. In the upcoming months, Drum Major leaves the band definitely.
Spring 2007
The Crypt starts to record its next recording, Bestialmente. It has taken place several times at several places. At the end, the band ends in the Kobka Music Studios in Martin again. The new recording is finished in August and the band starts looking for a label.
Summer 2007
The Crypt finds replacement for Mr. Drum Major. The new blood calls him self Skeleton. Very talented but maniac, the new reinforcement gets new wind to the band's canvas.
