Dropside was formed in the spring of 2006 by Jay Adams (Guitar) & Chad Baldwin (Drums).

Jay & Chad were part of a well established band that seemed to be going nowhere and didnt exactly have the level of musicianship from the other members that was needed to go to the next level.

So in early 2006 they left the band to form a new band that would have the intensity and professionalism needed to be a top rated band.

With a list of names ... they narrowed it down to just a few and ultimately decided on the name Dropside.

Now with a Name and a clear vision of the type of band they wanted to create ... The next step was finding a Singer & Bassplayer that would complete the vision for the band.

Adds were placed in local news papers and bulletins were posted online, many responses came in and auditions were underway.

Many singers were auditioned, some good, some bad, and some were a joke. but one audition left an instant impression on the guys and before the audition was over he was asked to front the band.

that Singer was Jaysun Brenneman. who has really brought an edge to the band with his powerful scream and growl voice.

with Dropside 3/4 complete all that was needed now was a solid Bassplayer.

Once again adds went out and auditions were made but noone seemed to fill the spot, until a call came in from a mutual friend that said he knew a guy that was a kick ass Bassplayer and he was looking for a band.

A call was made and an audition was set up, that was the last audition Dropside would need to hold. as soon as he walked in, set up and started playing along with the songs, everyone knew this was it, he was the guy.

that guy was Bassist Jason Miller, who brings a solid bass sound to the band.

Within weeks of completing the band they had written 8 songs, recorded 4 Live recordings, and had 2 shows booked for the following weekend.

Over the course of 2007 Dropside has played many shows with bands such as .. Decaying Face Down, The Downcide, Dead Season, Primo Noctis, Trip Element, NeverLabeled, Prymed, DownBreak, Apocalyptic Visions, Colossick, Servitude, Modern Day Slave, Tripping the Mechanism, Sister Trish and many others.

Dropside is in the studio producing a professional CD and writing new songs.

2008 will be a year that will propel Dropside into the status of being a working, touring metal band that will take the music scene by storm.

As some fans have said of the band .. They are changing the face of metal!!!
