Destroy all the standards and equations normally used when creating hard music. This goal has already been fully realized by Orange County, NY based band Snapring. With their brutal riffs, tight and syncopated rhythms, and viciously victimizing vocals Snapring brings a fresh take on metal. Drawing on influence from legendary metal bands like Black Sabbath, Lamb of God, In Flames, Pantera, and Nothingface, Snapring still manages to create their own unique sound.

Snapring formed in early 2004 when long time friends and jam mates since elementary school A.J. DeCelie (drums) and Dan Brenton (guitar) hooked up with Eric Willows (bass/vocals). Eric already had experience playing bass and guitar in various local bands. The three of them shared a mutual love of metal, and had a natural connection right off the bat. They started writing and arranging complex yet tight and melodic riffs in a glass room of an old mansion where the three of them lived. The band fully came to life when Matt Illenberg stepped in on vocals. Although he had never performed with a band before, Matt had an unbelievable ability to rip **** up on the mic.

Snapring's live shows perfectly capture the tight musical connection and raw energy these four musicians conjure up. You can't help but want to beat the **** out of the person next to you when the first notes kick in. The pounding rhythms and demon vocals contrast the melodic and complex beauty that subtly lies underneath it all. The music is brutal, raw and honest without any pretension found in a lot of newer "metal" bands.

The band has just recorded their first E.P. containing six of their sickest songs. Recorded live and produced in a complete DIY fashion, the E.P. showcases the band's tightness. While so many bands get away with being mediocre musicians by letting an engineer doctor up their music on ProTools, Snapring did it the old fashion way and didn't stop till they had achieved perfection. Didn't take long!

Snapring is looking to expand their audience and will play anywhere people want to hear good old fashion **** kicking METAL!!!
