Open Fire started in 2001 in its original lineup composed of 4 elements: 2 guitars, 1 bass and drums. The band began straight off writing its own material, which had various influences: from rock to crossover, from grunge to nu metal.

Up until now, Open Fire has reached a quiet good live experience performing in several live shows and contests across northern Italy.

In 2004, a new singer joined the band with whom Open Fire started writing new material which increased the combo’s own sound and identity.

In 2005, the band finally got to its present lineup through the entrance of a new bass player. From then on, the sound of the band reached its final shape with influences deeply rooted in the nu metal scene, though maintaining a personal way of writing both music and lyrics.

After a few self produced demos, on july 2006 Open Fire recorded their first studio EP containing 6 songs in Italian and 2 in English. In early 2007 Open Fire joined the Alkemist Fanatix agency and is currently writing new material for a future LP.
