Sometimes in life you’ll find the most obvious in the least obvious places. Obsidian is one of the most obvious original bands to hit the scene. Obsidian hails from the backwoods of northwest Missouri, the least likely place to find such a stellar band. It’s from these backwoods that allowed Obsidian not to be influenced by any local scene or the latest trends. Because of that Obsidian is a true to itself original hard rocking band.

Obsidian was founded by brothers Nikk and Steven Wolf. Like many other brother duos the Wolf brothers are a musical force to be reckoned with. It was only natural for the Wolf brothers to look for other musicians with the same passion and skills they have. Finding other musicians in rural Missouri would be next to impossible but destiny always has its way and the Wolfs were gifted with Hunter Kelso and Zakk Zelmel to join in on the musical mayhem.

Obsidian brings back to the stage all the rock and roll attitude any rock fan craves. Nikk has a vocal styling that demands your attention. Steven slaps you around with his heavy machine gun guitar while Hunter and Zakk hold down the rhythm section. Zakk pounds the drums like a machine, never missing a beat and Hunter works the stage like a true rock god bringing the bass. In a time where rock and roll has lost its originality and spectacle, along comes Obsidian to save rock as we know it.
